The joint municipality of Ilmenau is planning to re-tender the technical and commercial management of the wastewater network for the entire joint municipality area. This covers the area of ​​the municipalities of Barnstedt, Deutsch-Evern, Embsen and Melbeck. About 20 ago Years ago, as part of a Europe-wide procurement process, a public-private partnership (PPP) model was put out to tender for the task of wastewater disposal in the municipality of Ilmenau. In this structure, the operational management of the sewage network of the Ilmenau municipality is carried out by the wastewater company Ilmenau mbH (AGI).
