The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations ("FAO" or "Organization") is an intergovernmental organization with more than 194 member countries. Since its inception, FAO has worked to alleviate poverty and hunger by promoting agricultural development, improved nutrition and the pursuit of food security - defined as the access of all people at all times to the food they need for an active and healthy life.To achieve its goals, FAO cooperates with thousands of partners worldwide, from farmers groups to traders, from non-governmental organizations to other UN agencies, from development banks to agribusiness firms.Under the emergency project to address food crisis and economic shock of the most vulnerable in six of the most food insecure districts in Northern Ghana. FAO in its support to the EU Food Security project, is procuring Agriculture Inputs, with the aim to support maize, millet, sorghum, soyabean, groundnut, vegetables (tomato), poultry and piggery value chains. In this regard, FAO intends to award a Contract for goods, specifically:"Procurement of foundation seeds of Sorghum bicolor Kapaala Foundation seeds AND Pearl millet Kanaati Foundation SeedsYou arehereby invited to submit your best offer in connection with the award of such goods.In preparing your bid, you should take into account the international status and activities of FAO by submitting your best commercial terms.
