TENDER NOTICE FOR PROCUREMENT OF EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT
Background:
CARE in Somalia (CARE Somalia) is an international NGO working in Somalia/Somaliland. CARE Somalia and its partners work with vulnerable communities to address the underlying causes of poverty and promote peace and development, through its strategic goal to reduce poverty by empowering women, enhancing access to resources and services, and improving governance.
With funding support from our donors; CARE Hargeisa sub-Office is hereby inviting all interested eligible bidders with capacity to supply/deliver high quality emergency communication equipment (satellite phones/services and VHF radio sets) to Hargeisa sub-Offices. The emergency communication equipment will be used for back-up communication for staff during field movements.

Terms and conditions
o The supplier should be certified/authorized Satellite communication services/products dealer.
o All equipment should have at least 1-year warrant.
o Supplier should have the capability to repair and replace accessories when needed
o Supplier should have the capability to top up lines airtime remotely when needed.
o Supplier should be able to track, deactivate or activate satellite lines if lost/stolen.
o Supplier should be able to monitor status of lines periodically and warn users to make use of the lines before the lines expire and get deactivated by the satellite company.
o The supplier will be required to deliver equipment to one of our sub-offices Hargeisa).
Tender Submissions Details
Bidders are required to submit sealed bids for the execution and completion of the cited Contract in one sealed envelope, marked TENDER FOR PROCUREMENT OF EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT with the following warning sign “Not to be Opened Before Bid Opening Date and in the Presence of the Bidding Committee” to the tender box at CARE Somaliland office in Hargeisa or via email to Som.procurement@care.org, no later than 1600 Hours East Africa Time, on 8th April 2021.
