Country: Home Based Description of the Assignment: The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is seeking an Individual Consultant (IC) to prepare a research study on volunteering in humanitarian response. The study will examine the role and impact of volunteers in humanitarian action, with a focus on their integration into UN Humanitarian Response Plans (HRPs), and will provide actionable recommendations for policymakers and humanitarian agencies. Applicants should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 7 years of experience in research and/or policy formulation related to humanitarian response, proven expertise in research and analysis, and strong writing skills in English (knowledge of other UN languages is an asset). Period of assignment/services: expected duration of 35 days over 3 months, starting on 01 October 2025. Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal.
