The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for provision of technical assistance on the pre-feasibility study of the use of photovoltaic systems on the roofs of public buildings in the Comoros, with a connection to the grid, and the definition of a net metering policy. United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on behalf of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) requires the services of an institution to deliver the technical assistance. The overall objective of this technical assistance shall be the following: i) To promote the use of renewable energies in the Comoros starting by diagnosing the current electricity network of the Comoros archipelago, ii) Analyze the capacity of the network to receive and distribute a surplus of energy that could be generated by renewable energies (mainly solar), iii) Analyze the potential and formulating a net metering policy, iv) Submit a concept note to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to facilitate the implementation of ...
