The plasma is heated depending on the requirements of the ion beam using microwave frequencies of 18 GHz and/or 14 GHz. Adequate plasma heating and confinement requires a specific magnetic field configuration resulting from the superposition of hexapole and solenoid magnetic fields composed. In order to achieve the required magnetic field values, three high-current supplies are required, each of which feeds one of the three magnetic coils. The current in the magnet must be 600/1100 A with an absolute accuracy of 1 × 10?4 *IN be booted up. The maximum output voltage is about 30/120V.
