Reason and planning goal: The district heating generation sites Ratekauer Weg and Posener Strasse of the Luebeck municipal utility company generate district heating for the Vorwerk district heating network. There is a CHP plant including heat storage at the Ratekauer Weg location. There are three gas boilers at the Posener Strasse location a CHP plant and a transformer station from TraveNetz GmbH. Since both CHP units will soon reach the end of their service life, they should be remotorized.
