Tender Details

The Seelingstädt water treatment plant (WBA) was put into operation in 2002. Its task is to treat contaminated water before it is discharged into the receiving water. The system consists of 3 treatment lines and works according to the principle of modified lime precipitation. To separate uranium, the first step is to remove the bicarbonate. To do this, the pH value is reduced to 3.5 by adding 33% hydrochloric acid. The next step is to add FeCl3, BaCl2 solution and raising the pH value again to approx. 7 - 8 by adding lime milk. The final step involves solid-liquid separation using inclined clarifiers. The residues resulting from water treatment are immobilized and stored on the Immobilizable storage area Culmitzsch Basin A stored.
