Planning and construction of a storm overflow basin Bln. IV (RÜB IV) - VP 5: Building technology The storm overflow basin Bln IV is planned as a round basin with an inner diameter of around 39 m and a clear basin depth of around 19 m. The pool receives one Technical ventilation, for which, among other things, a 30 m high exhaust chimney is built (above the middle of the pool). The services of the VP05 largely include the necessary ventilation systems (pressure locks, stairwell ventilation, storage space ventilation, Pump room ventilation, fan room ventilation and the cooling of a small EMSR room). The storage space ventilation is particularly noteworthy here, as it has to be installed all around the ceiling of the round pool. The system consists of two strands a volume flow of approx. 40, 000 m3/h each.
