In the Quantum Information and Communication Department, non-classical light is generated by non-linear optical processes. For state generation and use of these states in quantum networks, a pulsed picosecond laser system with variable Pulse duration required. The desired laser system simultaneously offers a narrow-band spectrum and still a well-defined pulse duration. The laser system will consist of a pump laser and an optical parametric oscillator (OPO). One Laser control unit and cooling unit is included in the system. It should be compact, fully automated and easy to use. All optical and optomechanical components for ongoing laser operation are included in the system.
