Overall contract for the ecological investigations of the protected areas benthos and fish in the German Exclusive Economic Zone of the North Sea for the preliminary area investigation The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) intends to award the contract of services for the collection, evaluation and documentation of marine environmental data as part of the central preliminary investigation of areas for offshore wind energy in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the North Sea Offshore Wind Energy Act (WindSeeG). The services include the planning and implementation of marine biological studies of the protected assets benthos (infauna, epifauna including sediment), fish and - if necessary - the recording and evaluation marine biotopes. The investigations are carried out on study and reference areas in several seasonal recording campaigns according to the standard investigation concept (StUK4, 2013) and other relevant professional standards. The scope of services includes in particular the implementation of the necessary sampling at sea, the taxonomic processing and technical evaluation of the collected data, the quality-assured data delivery to the BSH's specialist information system MARLIN and the creation of Campaign, interim and final reports including technical inventory characterization, assessment of protected assets and qualitative impact forecasts.
