OTOP Next Gen Product Design Development Project

PROGRAM COMPONENTS:



1. Orientation Session on Design and Market Trends

2. Consultations with all participating MSMEs to select, evaluate and finalize the products to undergo product development and provide merchandising direction to the companies.

3. Design Development

4. Prototype Development

5. Prototype Evaluation - on site product inspection to evaluate products if in accordance to the prescribed design and specifications

6. Final Prototype Assessment - final assessment and selection of products for the market launching.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF DESIGN CONSULTANT:



-c Must be a legal entity (DTI/SEC/CDA registration, mayor-s permit and BIR certificate of registration, Philgeps certificate of registration)

-c Bachelor-s Degree in Industrial Design or other related course

-c Proof of successful industry projects for the last 3 years in industrial design and product development process

-c Training and exposure in industrial design and product development process

-c Adept in computer design software

-c Must have no derogatory findings from previous clients.



PRODUCT FOCUS:



Handicrafts (novelty items, pen holders, table clock, home decors), bags, souvenir shirts, fashion accessories (bangles, chimes, earrings), furniture & home furnishings



DELIVERABLES:



Development of new product designs for MSMEs : at least 3 product designs or design for 1 collection consisting of 3-5 items per company which include technical line drawing with dimensions, technical details and material specifications with provision for revisions.
