In the current structure, the company is organized into three management areas. The commercial management is responsible for network management, asset strategy and regulatory management as well as the control of the company. The Technical management is responsible for the functions operation and maintenance, planning and construction, network management/system technology, operational business/measures control and digitalization. The customer service management area is responsible the grid connection, grid billing and measuring point operation. The current status quo of RheinNetz GmbH is the result of a comprehensive transformation project that includes the transition from a lean network operator with outsourced operational management operational management to a large network operator in the structure described under 1.1.2. As part of this project, a new structural and process organization was initially introduced in 2023 and assets and personnel with effect from January 1st, 2025 were transferred to RheinNetz GmbH. When designing the current structure and process organization, particular emphasis was placed on establishing overarching end-to-end responsibility for the core processes. This should create potential synergies and as a result, efficiency can be ensured.
