A Future Combat Surface System (FCSS) was first mentioned in the "Course Marine 2035+"; As part of the extensive entry into Maritime Unmanned Systems (MUS) persecuted by Inspm, it should complement, expand, expand and replace the use of mannered over water units (SP K130) and replace them in perspective.FCSS is able to take on tasks both in the association with manned units (Mum-T-Surface Action) and in its own operating room ("Unmanned Task Group").
The FCSS describes an overall system consisting of
1. an unmanned, possibly optional (minimal) manned, Modular and autonomous functions.Sea region) integrated.
2. a C2 element (Remote Control Station, RCS), which is controlled for the management and integration of the UPS (Remote Control Station, RCS), which as an interface and physical transition to the UPS (Bottom Up) the data received by UPOrder (e.g. for MOC) as well as (top down) Taskings (e.g. from MOC) converted and transmitted into concrete tax/ payoad commands (e.g. track/ engagement) for UPS.
The aim of the Opex campaign is to determine how,
1. The UPS used in the operational scenaria over major distancescan be used to work out the limits/ possibilities of current products and to assess the contribution to the overall position,
2. The remote -controlled, possibly autonomous use (in various forms of autonomous cycling) and the use in the context of secure participation in sea traffic allowsis
3. Emergency systems work, a supply/ repair and, if necessary, recovery at sea is possible.
