The Hochbahn has had its business IT operated by external service providers since the 1990s. As part of the "Azure First Strategy", the elevator is currently aiming to migrate and operate all applications that are operated in the data center on Azure Public Cloud in the future. The Transformation project is already running and the elevator estimates that all applications can be migrated to Azure by mid -2027. In this tender, the Hochbahn is looking for a service provider who takes over the operation of the Azure Public Cloud for the Hochbahn. The elevator does not see any full Service outsourcing, but close cooperation with specific activities at the operational level.
