Lot 1: Track construction on the NORTH track. Lot 2: Track construction on the SOUTH track The 1st construction stage of the North-South Cologne City Railway runs underground from Breslauer Platz to Marktstrasse (approx. 3, 900 m), while the 2nd construction stage branches off underground behind the Bonner Wall stop in the course of the 1st construction stage, comes to the surface in front of Rheinuferstrasse and connects to the existing route (approx. 772 m). The section referred to as the 3rd construction stage connects to the above-ground Marktstrasse stop that was already built as part of the 1st construction stage, runs above ground and ends after approx. 2, 100 m at the Bonn junction. The final stop (Arnoldshöhe) is located north of the southern junction, resulting in a track length of approx. 1, 950 m. A double-track track system is planned as a special railway structure in the middle of Bonner Straße. With the exception of the distortion areas at the stops, the track alignment is largely straight and parallel to the road axes.
