It consists of the three use areas of the former caretaker's apartment, the teaching swimming pool and the simple gymnasium, including the associated adjoining rooms. planning and implementation of the existing building date from the sixties and seventies. An economical renovation of the facility is not feasible, which is why the focus is on building a new sports facility. According to the student forecast, the number of classes will be permanently decline from 18 to 16. An exercise unit regarding the sports facility situation can be approved for primary schools. The planning is to be based on the spatial program of the government of Middle Franconia. As part of a goal setting phase, The Hilpoltstein city council was shown several options for the type and location of the sports facility. At its meeting on January 29th, 2026, this discussed the planning and construction of a double sports hall (meaning two playing fields 15x27 m, alongside, arranged next to each other). The area at the existing all-weather pitch is defined as the future location. Bus supervision is to be integrated into the building. It is available for around 30 children. The existing sports facility complex remains in operation for the school during the construction period. The building plot is supplied with the following media via the municipal road “Am Schlossgraben”: - Public sewerage in a mixed system - Public drinking water supply - Electricity - Telephone - Gas In addition The city of Hilpoltstein operates a district heating network. The access takes place from the north, via the connecting path to the middle school.
