“New EUREGIO office building” in Gronau: specialist planning service for structural planning Specialist planning service for structural planning § 52 HOAI for the “new building EUREGIO office” in Gronau Following a successful structural engineering realization competition With the new building of the Euregio office, an architecturally and structurally demanding project will be realized at the German-Dutch border crossing in Gronau. The urban reorganization of the site includes an ensemble of several buildings which are grouped around a newly emerging Euregio square. As a three-story building, the new office forms the striking start of the campus and is in the immediate vicinity of the Euregio conference center. The winning design sees one Hybrid construction made of solid and wooden construction, which is impressive in terms of design as well as building physics and ecology: Solid building cores made of exposed concrete provide the bracing and at the same time provide storage mass for the thermal concept available. These cores include vertical circulation, sanitary areas as well as technical and ancillary rooms. The adjacent office areas are designed in a largely column-free wooden construction with a high degree of prefabrication. The ceilings are stretched the solid cores to the load-bearing outer wall, ensuring a high level of flexibility in use.
