The Stadtwerke Forchheim municipal company is planning the construction of a new stationary sludge dewatering system with sludge storage at the Forchheim sewage treatment plant.
The Forchheim sewage treatment plant has an expansion size of 90, 000 PE and is designed for further wastewater treatment. At the time the waste water reThe resulting sewage sludge is anaerobically digested in digesters and temporarily stored in one of the two sludge storage tanks. Disposal is discontinuous via a service company, whereby the digested sludge is dewatered with a mobile sludge dewatering system.
It wasthe already existing alternatives to the existing operation of the sludge dewatering are shown and checked for economic efficiency. As a result, the construction of our own stationary sludge dewatering system has proven to be economical.
In the course of preliminary planning (LPH 1 2) including variant studiesg, in June 2022, the board of directors of Stadtwerke Forchheim municipal company finally decided to set up the mechanical sludge drainage (MSE) in the existing building (= variant 3 of the preliminary planning).de Machine house as a place of installation and to be technically and spatially adapted to future requirements.
