The districts of Troisdorf, Troisdorf West, Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hütte, Oberlar, Sieglar, Eschmar, Rotter See, Kriegsdorf, Müllekoven and Bergheim form the catchment area of the sewage treatment plant. The predominantly municipal wastewater flows to the sewage treatment plant via a DN 1200 mixed water collector. One of the According to DIN 1995, both digesters have exceeded the technical lifespan of 50 years, and the second digester has almost reached its maximum technical lifespan. In addition, both containers are contaminated with asbestos. The agitators are outdated. The project includes the construction of new digester tanks (the current requirements planning envisages two digester tanks), the renewal of the heating system (plus building), the installation of new or existing combined heat and power plants (CHP), the increase in the gas tank volume and the Expansion of the electricity feed-in (emergency power feed-in, in the future additional feed-in through AGRI PV system). The new construction must be carried out while maintaining the existing sewage treatment plant operations. The multifunctional heating system for digester and Building heating (burns fermentation gas or oil) is approx. 30 years old and urgently needs to be technically replaced.
