New construction of a bed block The Hanseatic and university city of Rostock's own operation, the Klinkum Südstadt Rostock, intends to operate on the existing clinic site in the Rostock Südstadt a ward block with connecting buildings to the existing one General contractor to build. The new ward block will be built as a flat-founded, five-story building, including a basement, that cuts into the existing site. On the ground floor and the 3 upper floors are next to the Bed rooms and the associated functional rooms. The technical and medical infrastructure rooms (e.g. IT/AV/SV, as well as the clean/unclean work rooms, disposal rooms, ward kitchen, nurses' bases on the ground floor 3rd floor) are available on each floor. The basement contains, among other things, bed preparation, storage rooms and rooms for building technology and house connections as well as the associated ancillary room zones. The vertical access to the building from the basement to the 3rd floor is via 2 stairwells, 3 elevators and the necessary technology shafts. The attic can be reached via the northern stairwell. To provide lighting and ventilation to the depths of the building, an atrium is located in the southern part of the building from the ground floor to the roof. The horizontal development takes place via the hallways. In the basement, ground floor and 1st floor the building has the so-called Main routes connected to the existing buildings in the north and west.
