New construction Aviation Innovation Center (AIC) - project management/project management The subject of this award procedure is the services of project management in the construction and real estate industry (hereinafter also “technical client representation” in the Service profiles project control and project management (in the sense of AHO booklet No. 9) for the project “Planning services for the new construction of the Aviation Innovation Center (AIC)”. Aachener Kreuz Merzbrück GmbH & Co. KG is planning to build the new Aviation Innovation Center (AIC) at the Würselen-Aachen research airfield (FWA) in Würselen. The project includes the planning and construction of an innovative research and corporate campus with a thematic focus on pioneering aviation technology and mobility. The Aviation Innovation Center is designed as an impulse project for the development of a technology-oriented commercial location and serves to network start-ups, high-growth companies and research players from these areas in terms of space and content Aviation, lightweight construction, sensor technology and autonomous mobility. The building will be constructed at a prominent urban location in the new commercial area, immediately adjacent to the planned mobility hub. It has a gross floor area (GFA) of approx. 11, 300 m² and is intended to fit into the existing environment of the Merzbrück location and at the same time create an identity-creating place for innovation and technology transfer.
