New building KV MHH environmental impact assessment Subject and objective: The service includes the complete implementation of an EIA preliminary examination of the individual case for the new construction stage 1 of the health care system at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) including helipad. There is a legally binding development plan from 1969 for the new building site. An EIA was not carried out in the development plan preparation process. The first building application was submitted for the new construction stage 1 of the MHH the construction of the excavation pit was submitted. The building permit should determine whether there is an obligation to carry out an environmental impact assessment (EIA) or not. Further potential construction stages on the new construction site Built at a later date are excluded from the review as there is no funding basis for this. The service objective is legally compliant documentation and justification of the preliminary examination in accordance with Section 7 UVPG (general or location-related preliminary examination of the individual case). The relevant legal basis is the UVPG in the currently valid version (in particular §§ 5, 7 UVPG and the “List of projects subject to UVP” in Annex 1 UVPG) including the implementation of the EU UVP Directive.
