Construction of a flood retention basin on the Geneva stream near Nettersheim (Lot 1: Flood retention basin) Construction of a flood retention basin on the Geneva stream near Nettersheim (Lot 2: Environmental assessments) To improve the flood situation on the Geneva stream (Water code: 28222) a flood retention basin (HRB) is to be built in the main reach. In addition, a throttling of the Borbach, which flows below the planned HRB, should be implemented if necessary. The location of Nettersheim was in July 2021 significantly affected by the flood disaster. Numerous buildings and public infrastructure were particularly hard hit, some of which were severely damaged.
