Tenders are invited for National Consultant in WASH Information Management ((Category C2, Level C), Bujumbura, Burundi.


Scope of Work



1. Goal and Objective : Under the responsibility of the WASH Section Chief, the consultant will establish a capacity building mechanism in terms of data collection, analysis, mapping, visualization, reporting, and training. monitoring of all projects and programs of the WASH Section and its partners with a view to: i) ensuring that the information management tools developed take into account the general concerns of humanitarian coordination; and meet the information needs of sector stakeholders and UNICEF partners;

2. Activities and Tasks:

Under the responsibility of the WASH Section Head, the Consultant will have the following duties (and any other task that the Consultant may deem necessary to add):

§ Inventory information management systems available at the stakeholder level to provide harmonized tools and data base;

§ Develop a dynamic database that allows:

§ To generate a map of the actors of the sector;

§ Generate a mapping of actors' interventions;

§ Generate Dashboard for the monitoring of all financing of the WASH sector;

§ Generate visual products allowing the follow-up of the activities and the financings in connection with the financings;

§ Generate periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually).

§ Consolidate, analyze and report / disseminate information essential to decision-making.

§ Develop harmonized data collection tools to allow automatic updating of the database;

§ to establish links between the tools and databases to be developed and those existing at the level of sector coordination (humanitarian and development).

§ Adapt existing information management (IM) approaches in the country for the collection, analysis and reporting of sector activities and resources and identify information gaps.

Payment Schedule



Payment will be as follows:

§ 20% completion of the IM inventory and the database

§ 15% of the validation of the collection tools and the implementation of a functional IM system

§ 35% of the supervisor's approval of an appropriate management system, IM system (flow management, dissemination and GIS mapping production)

§ 30% at the end of the service with production of a report detailing the full deliverables



Desired skills, technical background and experience
