Transformation of the system from the current SAP R3 to SAP S/4 Hana MVB4HANA: Implementation of SAP transformation MVB has decided to transform from the current SAP R3 to SAP S/4 Hana. The current SAP system has been in operation since 2009 The switch to S4 Hana should be completed by January 1st, 2027. Due to the long operating time of the R3, the data quality suffered. Material master records that are no longer used or duplicate business partners are currently causing increased costs in the processes. MVB therefore decided against a pure system conversion and instead opted for a greenfield approach with selective data transfer. The aim of the transformation is to leave legacy issues behind and use systemic innovations through S4 Hana. The The symbol is “cleaning up the garage (R3 system)”.
