Procurement of laboratory diagnostic equipment including reagents for molecular diagnostics for blood donation testing in transfusion medicine. The UMG Institute for Transfusion Medicine has its own blood donation per year around 14, 000 whole blood donations and around 3, 500 apheresis samples are collected. This ensures that the UMG is largely self-sufficient with blood products and also ensures the supply of surrounding hospitals. The scope of services includes: Execution of all deliveries and services, including coordination, production, delivery, construction, assembly, commissioning and testing, for the operational, functional and acceptance-ready introduction of automatic analysis machines for NAT (Nucleic acid amplification technology) diagnostics for the detection of viral pathogens for the screening of blood and stem cell donations. In this area, around 17, 500 blood donations and around 30 examinations relating to stem cell donations are analyzed each year. The The UMG Institute for Transfusion Medicine strives for the highest possible level of automation and consolidation for NAT diagnostics for donor testing with optimized staff retention in the overall analytical process. Service is also part of the service and maintenance of the analysis systems as well as the IT connection to the client's laboratory information system.
