The German Aerospace Center V. (DLR) is planning to build a high-pressure electrolysis system in a transportable 40-foot container for the production of synthesis gas under various operating conditions in the "e-XPlore" project. The system will use electrolysis using solid oxide cells(SOC: solid oxide cells) are researched. For this purpose, an electrolysis module with an electrical power input of up to 15 kW is used to electrochemically generate a synthesis gas from water vapor and CO2 at an operating pressure of up to 25 bar(g). This synthesis gas mainly consists of aus H2 and CO and contains additional amounts of H2O, CO2, CH4 and various hydrocarbons. The necessary electrical power for other peripheral devices is not taken into account. A modified 40-foot container suitable for offshore use is used to operate the high-pressure electrolysis systemainer required.
