Modernization of the pier system of the city of Nordenham: structural planning The city of Nordenham is planning a comprehensive modernization of its pier facility in Nordenham-Blexen. The pier system is an important part of the specialized seaport of Nordenham. The length The existing pier is around 102 m, the adjoining jetty is around another 33 m. The pier was built in 1969. It has now been in operation for over 50 years and, due to the significant damage that has been discovered, is in need of repair Impairment of the carrying capacity, a fundamental and performance-oriented modernization. For this purpose, a new sheet piling wall will be placed in front of the old one, and the existing "supported reinforced concrete pier" will also be dismantled and access to the dolphins will be removed newly manufactured using a steel bridge.
