Tender Details

The aim of the award is the further development and application of 3D finite element modeling and inversion methods for the three-dimensional geophysical survey and resource assessment of massive sulfide deposits (SMS) in the licensed area of the Federal Agency for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) on the Central and Southeast Indian Ridge (INDEX project). The contractor develops and applies methods for the integrated geophysical characterization of SMS deposits through the combined Evaluation of - high-resolution EM coil data (low penetration depth, high lateral resolution, IP-sensitive), - galvanic IP measurements (directly on the seabed), as well - large-scale electrical dipole-dipole data (HED system, high penetration depth up to ~100 m, lower resolution). For this purpose, new inversion and modeling approaches are developed and converted into a consistent interpretation strategy.
