Expression of Interest are invited for Midline Surveys for the Impact Evaluation Of: Boosting (Self-) Employment for Youth in Cote Divoire
The PRO-Jeunes project is a six-year project (2017- 2021) that targets 10, 000 vulnerable youths (50% of young women) aged 15-30 in urban and rural Cote dIvoire. The project plans to have eight cohorts, with new cohorts starting every six months. The project is designed to offer (self-) employment support services that are particularly flexible to meet a wide range of beneficiaries needs, and that adapt to their different starting points and knowledge levels.
An impact evaluation of the project, currently ongoing and led by the World Banks Africa Region Gender Innovation Lab (GIL), will contribute answering several of GIL priority questions on the lack of skills (entrepreneurship, socio-emotional) for women, on norms constraining womens ability to launch and/or grow their business. Key research questions that will be studied through this IE are:
The impact evaluation covers three project cohorts in Abidjan and Bassam. The GIL coordinated baseline surveys for the first, second and third cohorts of the impact evaluation (fourth, fifth and sixth project cohorts), which were completed in October 2020, August 2021, and January 2022 respectively. The midline data collection for the first impact evaluation cohort is currently ongoing and expected to be completed by the end of July 2022.
