In the context of laser particle acceleration, high-energy short-pulse lasers in the mid-infrared range are of particular interest for future experiments. For this purpose, a Cr:ZnSe or Cr:ZnS-based device is to be developed at the Chair of Relativistic Laser Physics CPA system can be realized with pulse energies in the Joule range. A pump laser in the mid-infrared (mid-IR) is required for construction. The exact specifications for all components and parts are detailed in the minimum requirements, see Appendix 2.
