OBJECTIVESThe MRV capacity buildingprogram is designed as two separate segments aiming at (i) providing domesticoil and gas producers with the necessary competencies and tools to reliablymeasure and report their methane emissions and (ii) enabling the regulator, NUPRC, to verify the quality of the emissions reports receivedSCOPE Thekey tasks to be carried out as part of the MRV capacity building programcomprise the below. It is expected that by preparing and delivering thetrainings, the Consultant combines, i) internationalbest practices, ii) its knowledge of the existing Nigerian legal/regulatory andsector/country context and requirements, and iii) its local knowledge of the specificchallenges faced by domestic oil and gas producers in meeting the regulatoryobjectives.
