Expression of Interest are invited for Market Feasibility Study for the Construction of a Shipyard to Manufacture and Repair Semi-Industrial Fishing Vessels in Calheta De SãO Martinho (Santiago)
Under the Costal Fisheries Initiative- Challenge Fund in Cabo Verde, the WB team is looking to conduct a market feasibility study for the construction of a shipyard for semi-industrial vessels in in Santiago Island. Work will include carrying out: (i)review of existing studies and assess the adequacy of the equipments identified to implement the conversion program; (ii)international benchmark regarding the operation of similar infrastructures/business units in island countries (Azores, Mauritius, Canary Islands); (iii)assessment of possible business model for the shipyard operation; (iv)assessment of the role assigned to the public sector; (v)management model and pricing structure; (vi) assess the demand and competitiveness of the project; (vii) draft a marketing strategy for the shipyard; and (viii)assessment possible financing The work is expected to be conducted and concluded in a short period of time. Contract should be awarded in early January and be conducted in 6-8 weeks
The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
