MARKET EXPLORATION: Quartz glass windows The German Aerospace Center with its Institute for Combustion Technology in Stuttgart is looking to supply quartz glass windows. These quartz glass windows should be in a visually accessible High pressure combustion test stand can be used. There are three different main uses for these windows: • Pressure-bearing windows (“pressure vessel windows”) • Windows exposed to hot combustion gases (“hot glass”) • the windows carrying cooling air (“cooling glass”) Since these windows have to be installed pressure-tight, compliance with tolerances is of great importance.
