The Bundesbank operates four casinos on its own. The management of a further eight Bundesbank casinos is carried out by external caterers. The Bundesbank has its own infrastructure for its own casinos Merchandise management system and a cash register/payment system (cash or direct debit for internal employees; cash for external employees and guests) in use. The cash register/payment system is integrated into the Bundesbank's SAP landscape. Orders from Suppliers are sent via PDF/e-mail, there is no B2B connection. In daily operations, many steps are now carried out manually or twice because integrations are missing. The same cash register/payment system is used in third-party casinos used (including integration into SAP), but the merchandise management is carried out by the caterers on their own outside of the Bundesbank's IT landscape. The merchandise management system and cash register/payment system are getting old, so the Bundesbank has to initiated a project to replace these systems with a SaaS solution. With this new SaaS solution, which will be introduced in the next one to two years, modern payment methods (cards, mobile Devices, digital euro).
