The German Aerospace Center intends to purchase services to provide comprehensive air traffic data as part of a future procurement process. This non-binding market research is being carried out in preparation for this procedure. The aim is to provide information about available providers, technical possibilities, delivery formats and economic conditions. 1. Subject of the market research It is planned to obtain data for the period from January 1st, 2026 to December 31st, 2026 as well as historical data for the years 2019 to 2025. The scope of services includes two data packages that, combined, are used in scientific models of global air traffic development. 2. Service description 2.1 Worldwide flight plan data (Global Schedule Data / WDF) The client requires monthly global flight plan data with the following minimum requirements: Coverage of global air traffic, including passenger traffic, air cargo traffic and, where available, general aviation. Must include, among other things: airline, flight number, flight route, planned departure and arrival times, flight days. Aircraft, differentiated into Generic and Specific Aircraft Types. Information on the arrival day relative to the departure day (arrival the day before, same day or following day). The data must have consistently structured definitions and coding over many years (20 years). It must be ensured that existing long-term time series can be continued without causing system or definition breaks. 2.2 Data on flights actually carried out including emissions data (FID Emissions Status Data) Comprehensive information on flights carried out daily worldwide is required: Complete coverage of all those actually flown Individual connections ("every operated flight"). Inclusion of passenger flights, cargo flights, express freight services and where available general aviation. Must be included, etc. ...
