Tenders are invited for Operation and Maintenance of La Chaumiere Transfer Station and Transportation of Wastes from La Chaumiere Transfer Station to Mare Chicose Landfill
La Chaumiere Transfer Station is located in the district of Black River. The catchment area of La Chaumiere Transfer Station includes the District Council of Black River, Municipal Council of Quatre Bornes and Municipal Council of Beau Bassin/Rose Hill. The monthly amount of wastes which transited the Station from the catchment area for years 2018, 2019, 2020 and for months of January 2021 to May 2021 is shown in Section 7.20.1.
With a view to promoting recovery of resources from wastes, the contractor will have to operate a Civic Amenity Centre. The contractor will be required to divert the recyclables entering the Transfer Station in different bays of the Civic Amenity Centre.
Municipal Solid Wastes comprise the following:
Paper - 10%
Plastics - 9%
Kitchen wastes - 45%
Yard wastes - 25%
Textile wastes - 4%
Glass - 3%
Metal - 2%
Other - 2%
