Maintenance and repair services, technical building management in the Munich Volkstheater, Tumblingerstrasse The Munich Volkstheater initially opened in 1983 on Stiglmaierplatz. The house is a municipal theater and is run by the Munich cultural department. In December 2017, the Munich city council decided to build a new Volkstheater on the Viehhof site. The entire complex consists of the listed cattle farm office building and a new brick-red building. In the old building with The tiled gable roof houses a company kindergarten, administrative areas and artists' accommodation. The new building with flat roofs (some of which are extensively greened) houses three performance areas, a public restaurant, administration rooms, Props department, workshops and recording studios. The main hall with an orchestra pit offers space for around 600 spectators and has a 27 meter high stage tower and an underground storage area for the stage sets. The other venues can be found can be designed variably and have space for 200 seats or 400 standing places in venue 2 and 100 seats in the multifunctional room.
