M-Technology 4.RS A fourth stage of purification is being carried out at the Hamm-West sewage treatment plant (4th RS) built for the elimination of trace substances. This requires mechanical components and piping work. Reconstruction and renovation of the secondary clarification tanks 1-4 On the The Lippeverband's Hamm-West sewage treatment plant will be the existing secondary clarification tanks (short “NKB 1-4”). There are four rectangular secondary clarifiers (Width approx. 25 m, length approx. 50 m) with suction scrapers for bottom sludge clearing. Floating sludge is over Floating sludge shields cleared and placed in a collection shaft collected and vacuumed regularly. The clear water flows laterally via drainage channels (with serrated weirs) into a drain channel arranged at the front. The Return sludge (“RLS”) passing through the scrapers was promoted, flows over the middle Return sludge troughs (“RLS troughs”) to the return sludge pumping station.
