The Process Engineering Department of the Leibniz IWT researches and develops digital processes and methods for digitally depicting process engineering processes, their products and materials, such as particles, as well as the underlying technological knowledge. On the one hand, ontologies are used as subsystems of knowledge graphs, but also Methods have been developed to map the experimental workflows underlying the processes. These workflows cannot be automated and take place physically in laboratories and factory halls, i.e. they often only take place on site at the specific location processes that can be experienced in machine and device-related infrastructure.
