The former garden institute building and later converted into the "Hans Settegast" general education school in Bad Köstritz, Werner-SyltenStraße 14, has a rectangular basic shape, 4 storeys, with a gently sloping gable roof (nail truss) and is with a cellar over its entire length of approx. 32.00 m. The building was built in 1903, converted into a general education school in 1966 and used as a regular school from 1990. The flood in 2013 flooded the entire basement area.
