The Bavarian Logistics Center for Health Security (BLZG) is intended as a material storage facility to ensure the supply of PPE and other relief goods in the event of ongoing damage events in Bavaria. This particularly includes infection events such as: e.g. pandemics, but also other conceivable damaging events (e.g. animal diseases, natural disasters, etc.) that result in a need for protective equipment / relief supplies that cannot be met in any other way. The need must be supplied at all times be possible. Particularly in a shortage situation, a rapid turnover rate of goods delivered, to be checked and issued to those who need them is crucial.
