Local consultant - Undertake Mid Term Review for the REDUCING VULNERABILITY FROM CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE FOOTHILLS, LOWLANDS AND THE LOWER SENQU RIVER BASIN PROJECT
UNDP is the UN's global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. It works with individual countries on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. UNDP Lesotho supports Lesotho's development priorities laid out in the National Strategic Development Plan and through that, the achievement of the MDGs. The main focus areas of the UNDP Country Programme are Democratic Governance; Environment and Energy; Poverty Reduction and Economic Growth, with Gender Mainstreaming and HIV/AIDS as crosscutting areas. The Government of Lesotho (GOL) in collaboration with UNDP developed a project titled "Reducing Vulnerability from Climate Change in the Foothills, Lowlands and the Lower Senqu River Basin". This is a 6-year project funded under Global Environment Facility (GEF) and is aimed at increasing ecosystem resilience to climate change in the southern parts of Lesotho. The project is due for Mid-term Review (MTR) in-line with UNDP-GEF guidelines and this assignment will be carryout byateam of two independent consultants; one international consultant (team leader) with experience and exposure to projects and evaluations in regions and globally, and one Local Consultant. Therefore, UNDP invites interested Local Consultants to submit their applications for provision of services for the MTR.
