Litter Data Collection and Analysis in Tanzanian Cities.
The consultant is expected to provide the technology and analytics to support the mapping of litter in 3-4 Tanzanian cities. The World Bank will provide coordination and mobilization of local groups to undertake the data collection and the consultant will provide the technology and analytics to support the data collection and analysis. The consultant should have the following capabilities: (i) experience in using technology for community groups for comprehensive collection of data on litter and providing sophisticated analytic support to advise city governments; (ii)an app that can be easily used, relies on simple photos to collect data and that can be further analyzed through artificial intelligence to determine characteristics such as brand, type, volume; (iii) access to comparable data collected using the same methodology from a large set of global cities to allow comparison; and, (iv) capabilities to provide geospatial and statistics analysis;
