sealed bids will be received for the above project no later than 10:00 a.m. local
time on thursday, may 9, 2019. bids will be received by the following:

the name of the bidding firm and the title of the project shall be clearly marked
on the envelope. bids will be opened in public immediately following close of
bids. no award will be made at the bid opening. bidding procedures shall conform
to the requirements of the crown construction contracts act and regulation 82-109.
each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten (10) percent of
the bid price, or a certified cheque or bank draft in the amount of fifteen (15)
percent of the bid price, payable to the village of salisbury. the successful
bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and a labour and materials
payment bond, each in the amount of fifty (50) percent of the value of the contract,
or a fifteen (15) percent certified cheque upon award of contract.
work under this contract includes supply of all labour, materials, equipment, and
incidentals necessary for the larsen lane culvert replacement project located in
the village of salisbury, new brunswick. work generally includes:
.1 supply and installation of twin 2400mm diameter concrete culverts complete
with fish baffles (lower culvert only) including removal and disposal of existing
1650mm dia. culvert.
.2 repair of a section of sanitary sewer main including video inspection, all
required pumping and removal and disposal of existing 200mm diameter sanitary
sewer pipe.
.3 roadway and shoulder reinstatement including excavation, backfilling, removals
and disposals, aggregate base and subbase, ditching, guide railing and asphalt paving.
.4 regrading existing brook including excavation, placement of riprap, gravel for
fish habitat, erosion control, transplanting of alder bushes and construction of
a plunge pool.
.5 reinstatement of all disturbed areas.
