The client plans to build the new "Species Conservation Center AffenPark" in Krefeld Zoo. In the future, 20, 000 m2 of the zoo's total area - a total of 14 hectares - will be used to keep gorillas, Chimpanzees and orangutans are available. So far it has been 0.5 hectares of the zoo area. The vision of Krefeld Zoo envisages using the area from the "Zoobruecke" onwards, where great apes and other smaller monkey species will live in the future. Animals will be kept in community - wheneverpossible - implemented. The species protection center is to be realized in several construction phases.
