Advance notice for Upcoming tender to interested and qualified construction and installation companies that it intends to issue tender documents in Q3 2026 for works relating to the Kamakwie Solar Project in Sierra Leone
The project is owned by Release Solar and concerns the development of a utility-scale solar photovoltaic power plant of approximately 40 MW, located near Kamakwie, adjacent to the existing Transcom substation. The works expected to be tendered will include:  Site preparation works, including civil works and related site infrastructure  Mechanical and electrical installation works for the solar photovoltaic plant.
Engineering, design information, and free-issued project materials will be provided by Release Solar. The appointed contractor(s) will be expected to perform the relevant works in accordance with the tender documents, applicable technical requirements, health, safety, environmental and social standards, and project schedule. Interested companies with relevant experience in civil works, solar PV installation, mechanical and electrical installation, and construction works in Sierra Leone or comparable markets are invited to contact us for further information regarding the upcoming prequalification requirements and process.
