MIDS (Multifunctional Information and Distribution System) is the main component in the implementation of the networked operational management ability of the Gun system Eurofighter. In addition, the MIDS is an important part of the subsystems for communication, navigation and Attack and Ident within the Avionics of the Eurofighter weapon system.

The MIDS is an arrangement for the weapon system and is looked after on the official side. Derived from this result in the following required services that the contractor must provide:

• In -depth technical evaluation and reflection of all industrial proposals and statements made

• Identification, introduction and technical support for national needs and claims

• Analysis and evaluation of international claims

• Creation and evaluation of extensive, detailed, technical documentation

• Analysis of problem areas for updating the mids standard

• Evaluation of verification claims and the proof of the required data link functions
