With this assignment, based on the last reports of Jacobs University for the suspension and resuvial pension behavior of deep-sea seediments by using a sea water flow channel (Gillard & Thomsen, 2019a, B), the strength or erodability of freshly deposited plume sediments in one Manganknollenfeld are examined experimentally and through flow simulations. So far there has been no quantitative recording of the resuvial pension behavior and, above all, the reference to microtopography of the manganese nodules or hydrodynamics. Natural resuvial phases have big secondary effects on the deep sea environment. The BGR needs such reference data and analyzes in order to be able to assess the long -term effects of a possible future industrial degradation of the manganese noles on the surrounding area and its living world as part of environmental impact assessments.
